Description
The Pagani Utopia is the third model from Italian hypercar manufacturer Pagani Automobili, succeeding the celebrated Huayra as the brand’s flagship offering. Developed under the internal codename C10 over more than six years, using eight complete prototypes, the Utopia was unveiled in September 2022 at the Teatro Lirico in Milan. True to founder Horacio Pagani’s philosophy of blending art and engineering, the Utopia continues the brand’s tradition of using a bespoke Mercedes-AMG engine, a 6.0 litre twin turbo V12 producing 864 horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque, paired with a choice of a 7 speed manual or automated manual gearbox developed with British transmission specialist Xtrac.
Built around Pagani’s signature carbon fiber monocoque construction, along with newer composite materials the company has developed like Carbo-Titanium and Carbo-Triax, the Utopia weighs a relatively light 1,280 kilograms dry despite its complex, luxurious construction. Distinctive design details include quad headlamps, a broad front air intake, dramatic butterfly doors, and a bubble like greenhouse with an unusual split rear window, all combining to give the Utopia a shape that stands apart from more conventional hypercar rivals. A dedicated Utopia Roadster convertible variant followed in 2024, limited to just 130 units.
