Description
The Kool Kombi is a Hot Wheels original design, imagined as a heavily customized, shortened Volkswagen surf bus style casting that has become a fan favorite tooling within the Hot Wheels Pop Culture lineup. Rather than replicating any real world production vehicle, this casting reimagines the classic VW bus silhouette as a stretched, low riding custom build, giving it a distinctive shape that has made it a popular canvas for Hot Wheels’ various licensed pop culture collaborations over the years.
This particular release pairs the Kool Kombi with official Universal Studios artwork inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula, one of the most enduring characters in classic horror. Finished with playful horror themed graphics and slogans like “Type O to Go,” “UNDEAD Since 1931,” and “Midnight Repair Services,” along with Dracula pinstriping running along the roof, this casting first appeared in Hot Wheels’ original 2013 Universal Monsters Pop Culture series before resurfacing over a decade later on the Kool Kombi tooling, quickly becoming one of the most sought after releases in the modern Pop Culture lineup.
Hot Wheels brings this genuine horror collectible crossover into its Pop Culture series as an imported release for adult collectors, featuring premium Real Riders rubber tires and Metal/Metal construction for true collector grade quality. This casting captures the Kool Kombi’s stretched, custom van proportions paired with officially licensed Dracula artwork at 1:64 scale, offering fans a genuinely fun blend of classic horror and Hot Wheels design.
