The Bentley Batur represents one of the rarest and most significant modern Bentleys ever produced, an ultra exclusive coachbuilt coupe created by Mulliner, Bentley’s dedicated coachbuilding division. Serving as the successor to the 12 unit Bacalar, Bentley built just 18 examples of the Batur, with every single unit reserved before production even began, and each car individually co created with its owner. Named after Lake Batur, a volcanic crater lake in Bali, Indonesia, continuing Bentley’s tradition of naming its most exclusive Mulliner creations after striking natural bodies of water.

Built on the Continental GT Speed platform, the Batur was powered by a 6.0 litre twin turbocharged W12 engine tuned to produce 740 horsepower and 738 lb ft of torque, serving as a genuine farewell celebration for Bentley’s long running W12 powertrain before the brand’s eventual shift toward electrification. Design wise, the Batur introduced a completely new face for Bentley, featuring a lower, more upright grille, organic shaped LED headlights replacing the familiar dual round units, and a wraparound front bumper with a wide V shaped intake, all previewing the design direction Bentley intended to carry into its future electric vehicle lineup. Priced at roughly 2 million pounds per example, the Batur sold out immediately, cementing its place as one of the most desirable and technically important limited edition grand tourers of the modern era.
